About Farhana Anwar

I am a Dry Etch Module Development Engineer at Intel, with a strong foundation built through diverse experiences. Prior to this role, I worked as dry etch intern at Intel and Micron Technology. I hold a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Marquette University, where my research focus was in quantum technology, semiconductor fabrication processes, and MEMS. My doctoral work involves investigating CMOS-compatible materials such as Al2O3, AlN, SnOx, and Si to explore their potential in hosting quantum defect sites at predefined locations. This is achieved through semiconductor fabrication techniques tailored for quantum applications. During my master\'s, I designed and fabricated MEMS membrane devices, emphasizing testing and packaging for water environments. At the undergraduate level, I conducted research on solar cell simulation and performance analysis. Due to my research and internship experiences, I had the opportunity to work in class 10 cleanrooms. My expertise spans a range of semiconductor fabrication processes, including lithography, etching, deposition, as well as device and material characterization.
