ABOUT FARHAD ROODI

With over a decade of experience in teaching English as a second/foreign language, I specialize in preparing students for proficiency exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, and CELPIP and teaching EAP/ESP courses since 2015. My journey has taken me across international classrooms, enriching my ability to connect with learners from diverse backgrounds and age groups.I am a passionate educator who values the transformative power of technology in language education. My teaching approach is flexible, tech-savvy, and learner-centered, fostering engagement and adaptability. Beyond teaching, I am an active researcher committed to contributing to the field of Educational Technology(EdTech) to benefit both learners and educators alike.Currently, I am pursuing my PhD in Instructional Design, expanding my focus to the broader landscape of personalized learning. My research aims to explore the impact of generative AI in tailoring educational experiences to meet individual learner needs. Previously, I led a successful grant-winning project at uOttawa, spearheading the Linguistic Risk-taking Initiative and delving into the advantages of gamification in learning.
