ABOUT FAREEHA KANWAL
I am a Computational Structural Biologist working to better understand how the structure, dynamics and evolution of biomolecules, proteins and nucleic acids, affect their function. My expertise include designing, developing and analyzing computational and statistical models, tools and pipelines to potentially aid in biological data analysis, drug development, novel protein design, interface design, and quality assessment of predictive bioinformatics techniques. I enjoy identifying gaps in existing knowledge and devising novel solutions to broader clinical and biological problems. Currently, I am interested in developing machine learning based methods in the model quality assessment of protein-DNA complexes. My colleagues would describe me as a team-player and a resourceful individual eager to seek knowledge, learn from others and share my knowledge.
