As an elected member of the National Postdoctoral Association (NPA) Postdoc Council (PDC), I provide advice on critical and current postdoctoral affairs and issues to the NPA Board of Directors and Executive Director. My responsibilities include:Offering postdoctoral perspectives on policies and initiatives to support the mission of improving the postdoctoral experience through inclusive connection and professional growth.Collaborating with NPA task forces and committees to address postdoctoral needs and contribute to advocacy efforts.Staying informed on national policies (e.g, NIH, NSF, NASEM) impacting research and trainees.Participating in discussions to address the evolving challenges and opportunities within the postdoctoral community.This role enables me to contribute meaningfully to shaping the postdoctoral landscape while engaging in professional development and leadership opportunities.
