Fanta represents institutional clients in lawsuits involving discrimination, harassment, sexual misconduct and retaliation claims, and conducts internal investigations. She has also litigated and advised clients on matters arising under Title VII, Title IX, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), and state and local discrimination laws. In addition to employment law, Fanta has represented plaintiffs and defendants in commercial disputes across practice areas, including: First Amendment, Immigration, Intellectual Property, Securities, Antitrust, Dispute Resolution, Construction, and Civil Rights. Fanta has both law-firm and in-house experience, and couples her subject-matter expertise with her client, people-centered approach to achieve positive outcomes.Fanta’s background largely frames her approach to her work. Fanta’s upbringing—which includes being born in the U.S. to Sierra Leonean parents, attending an international school in Nairobi, Kenya, and transitioning to the U.S. for college—enables Fanta to bring a unique and distinct perspective to her workplace. Fanta was not only exposed to extensive cultural and ethnic diversity, but also diversity of thought, approach, and style.
