What has enabled me to succeed as a programme manager is the direct insight from many years of delivering the outputs as a technical member of the development team. This ‘insider knowledge’ has helped not only with the technical aspects, such as risk management and setting realistic timelines, but also the empathy, which enables stronger working relationships and helps me to establish a more cohesive programme team.I excel in high pressure and fast-paced environments where adaptability and flexibility are key, utilising an agile and realistic approach to effectively manage uncertainty, ambiguity and changing requirements. Most of my career has been spent working in a global environment, with multidisciplinary teams spread across several continents. I have gained significant experience on successfully leading programmes and projects from lab-based trials, through to scale up and production.
