As a Sourcing Manager for The Children’s Place, my role was to bring design ideas to fruition. I took product from design concept through to in store sales. By working with Design on their ideas and Merchandising on their forecast I was able to accurately advise our vendors of our needs ultimately meeting Design, Cost & Delivery goals.A bulk of my time was spent accomplishing the following tasks- Negotiating with global vendors- Negotiating cost delivery and payment terms- Oversee the product development and production process of 3.5 million units per year- Negotiate supplier costs to meet and achieve department cost targets and markup goals- Identify opportunities to develop and improve the efficiency of the sourcing and product development processes
