Serve as a Senior Data Analyst and Data migration lead with the NIH. The project involves migrating highly complex data from nine legacy systems with different formats and data structures into one enterprise system.• Partner directly with the stakeholders to understand the underlying data structure and business process requirements of each individual legacy system.• Support the customer by gathering business requirements for data migration needs across all functional areas to understand data usage and migration implications. Assist in designing, planning and managing the data migration process.• Coordinate with internal teams, partners, and customers to identify and define data conversion requirements. Identify gaps between requirements and data in existing databases. Document and validate data mapping. • Oversee and ensure data quality around all aspects of data analysis, mapping, and transferring of data. Identify the data migration impact of proposed changes.• Test data migration processes and validate correct migration of data for more than 20 migration cycles • Perform source system data analysis in order to manage source to target data mapping. Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of the legacy data in all stages of the migration, pre and post.• Furnish insights, analytics, and business intelligence needed to guide decisions. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.• Test data migration processes. Validate data was migrated correctly in preview mode prior to user acceptance testing (UAT).• Maintain system performance metrics and work with the Office of Technology Director to develop underlying dataset for annual performance report.• Liaise with business analyst colleagues and SMEs during the build and test cycles and lead defect resolution for issues pertaining to requirements and design.• Developed a strong working relationship as POC with the software vendor of the new enterprise system.
