About Faizah Zuberi

I am interested in delving into the world of computer science. This summer, I worked as a Machine Learning Intern at the Port of Seattle. I created a binary classier to recognize safe and unsafe situations on Seattle-Tacoma International Airport\'s escalators. As a proof of concept, my project can be implemented to prevent further escalator-related injuries in airports nationwide. I am excited to further explore how I can implement my computer science skills for social good in a Summer 2020 internship. Currently, I am a freshmen in University of Washington\'s Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science and Engineering.

   Led integration of Teams Walkie Talkie app with Push Notification Hub (PNH), using Swift and Objective-C. Collaborated cross-functionally with Teams Core, PNH, Android, and Service teams to design, implement, and validate the solution. Currently rolling out to 850k WT users.• Implemented Apple’s Push-to-Talk (PTT) Framework in the Teams Walkie Talkie app using Swift. Drove testing and deployment; Rolled out to 850k users• Designed and developed Privacy Settings feature in Teams Shifts app using Objective-C, enabling 303k users to hide personal details such as time-off reasons and work schedules from coworkers• Provided customer support during On-Call rotations, swiftly mitigating production incidents and enabling customer success. Worked closely with an enterprise client to resolve deployment blockers, supporting pilot expansion of Walkie Talkie app, increasing their usage by 25%
