About Faith Varela

My name is Faith. I have an interest in working in health policy to aim to change social structures that perpetuate inequities within the healthcare system. I am dedicated, hardworking, and diligent in my work. I take pride in the projects I choose to partake in and ensure that I have put maximum effort into the work I produce. I possess valuable skills from my previous work experiences including, efficient verbal and written communication, team leadership, event managing, active listening, and strategic problem-solving skills. I have previously worked as a public health research intern at the Lloyd\'s Register Foundation Institute for the Public Understanding of Risk at the National University of Singapore. Within this research institute, I am working on a number of projects including a personal case study analyzing influential antimicrobial resistance campaigns in the United Kingdom and Singapore over the past 15 years. I am also participating in another research project involving environmental activism to better understand the identity model for environmental action and what resources can be provided to increase action.I am eager to gain more experience and glean insight from other professionals.
