ABOUT FAITH QUIGLEY
Hello! I’m a third-year law student at the University of Idaho interested in civil rights litigation and public-interest advocacy. To strengthen my skills as an advocate, I’ve pursued hands-on experience across civil, criminal, and administrative work—from federal public defense to environmental advocacy to the Department of Justice SLIP program. I also bring a background in scientific research, where I developed skills in technical communication. At Idaho Law, I’ve earned multiple CALI awards, received the Alumni Award for Excellence, served on the Idaho Law Review (with a publication of my student Comment), interned in the Criminal Appellate Legal Aid Clinic, and completed over 200 hours of pro bono work. I have yet to find an area of law I don\'t like learning about, and have particularly enjoyed writing or speaking on mining law and corporate governance. I am currently spending my final semester in a Semester in Practice with the United States District Court for the District of Idaho while continuing with active pro bono, legal aid, legislative, and research work. After graduation, I will complete a fellowship year before clerking for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit during the 2027-28 term. Outside of academics, I enjoy hiking in National Parks, reading literary fiction, and trail running. I’m committed to developing as a thoughtful, effective advocate and welcome opportunities to connect with others dedicated to excellence in the legal profession.
