ABOUT FAITH CHEBET

I hold a Master’s in Curriculum & Instruction (Social Justice) from Northern Illinois University and was honored as a Fulbright Scholar at Northwestern University, one of the most competitive international awards. In Kenya, I taught primary (English, Poetry, Drama) and secondary (English & Literature) students, where I honed my skills in differentiated instruction, student mentoring, and curriculum delivery. In the U.S, I expanded into higher education, designing and teaching Swahili courses at Northern Illinois University, where I built Blackboard LMS modules, assessments, and digital content that increased engagement by 25%. Beyond teaching, I have designed eLearning modules using Articulate Storyline, Rise, and Camtasia, including a mini-course for K–12 educators that received outstanding learner feedback. I also presented at the African Languages Teachers’ Association Conference and contributed to STEM-focused instructional innovation at NIU STEM Fest.
