Litigating a divorce action, is costly and time consuming for the parties. Mediation is a better way to go. However, it is critical that parties choose an experienced and unbiased mediator. A good family law mediator educates her clients about divorce, custody and all collateral issues relevant to divorce. A great mediator assists her clients in reaching a fair resolution of the their divorce action, ensuring full disclosure of all financial issues, and applying the law of New Jersey to the facts of each particular case. Parties should come out of mediation feeling as though they were fair with their spouse, and not feeling blindsided or bullied!

I am a Certified Matrimonial Law Attorney with 27 years of divorce litigation experience and family law and mediation experience. This is an official designation given by the New Jersey Supreme Court to attorneys who have demonstrated a highly specialized skill set in the areas of family and matrimonial law. The certification process is rigorous and demanding, which is why roughly only 2% of all attorneys in New Jersey are certified matrimonial lawyers. In New Jersey, certified matrimonial lawyers must demonstrate a committed and learned expertise in family law and matrimonial law, including high net worth divorces, complex child custody disputes, and complex asset distribution as well as demonstrate extensive trial and advocacy skills. I have 27 years of experience as a family law attorney. I also been approved by the Supreme Court as a Family Mediator, and I have received certifications in Parenting Coordination.
