About Faisal Ali Khan

I am Faisal Ali Khan, an aspiring Ph.D. candidate with a strong academic foundation in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering. My expertise lies in the study of microplastic pollution, where I have conducted extensive research on the occurrence and distribution of microplastics in wastewater during my Master\'s at NIT Srinagar. Through this project, I have honed my skills in data collection, sampling, and advanced laboratory techniques like FTIR and SEM analysis. In addition to my academic pursuits, I have practical experience in civil engineering projects, including infrastructure development and environmental studies. My hands-on work on the Shaltang Prestressed Bridge and leadership in a Signal-Free Traffic System project have enhanced my technical and leadership skills. I have also been involved in tutoring and mentoring students in subjects ranging from basic mathematics to advanced civil engineering topics, working part-time as a subject expert for platforms like Chegg and Filo. With proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, MS Office, and EPA software, along with basic Python programming, I am equipped to tackle complex challenges in environmental and civil engineering. I am eager to contribute to sustainable solutions in the field and am currently exploring Ph.D. opportunities to further my research and impact.
