About Faheem Ahmed

I’m a Bioinformatics student at Virginia Commonwealth University with a strong interest in healthcare, research, and community service. My experiences have helped me build a foundation in molecular biology, bioinformatics, clinical outreach, and student leadership, and I am always looking for opportunities to grow through hands on research, service initiatives, and meaningful collaboration.I’m also deeply passionate about service and leadership. I serve as the Executive Director of Humanity First Student Division, where I help lead student-driven healthcare and humanitarian initiatives, including medical outreach, eye clinic support, and service projects that impact underserved communities both locally and internationally. Alongside this work, I have been involved in research ranging from bacteriophage discovery and laboratory techniques to my neuroscience research, where I have taken initiative in leading projects and contributing to a team nominated for NCUR.I’m driven by the intersection of science, service, and leadership, and I am passionate about creating work that is impactful, and rooted in helping others.
