ABOUT FADY ABDELMALEK
A Microbiologist and a postdoctoral researcher with a BSc in Chemistry and Microbiology, MSc in Microbiology and PhD in Microbiology and Biotechnology. My research efforts are currently focused on the biosynthesis and characterization of new biopolymers especially microbially-produced polyesters (e.g. PHAs). Furthermore, my research deals with the post-synthetic modification of these polymers by chemical and enzymatic procedures. Such modifications would affect the sustainability of these polymers as well as their potential applications. In short, I have profound expertise in the hyperproduction of biopolymers followed by chemical alterations to serve vital purposes.
