ABOUT FABRIZIO TONI

I gained my professional experiences mainly in satellite navigation and electronics fields.Graduated in Electronic Engineering with specialization in Satellite Navigation at University of Rome 3 in 2012 with full marks (110/110). I received a MSc Degree in “Advanced Communication and Navigation Satellite Systems” in 2013 at University of Rome Tor Vergata. As Satellite Navigation engineer I was involved in several projects dealing GNSS related aspects and these projects have allowed me to reach a full understanding of navigation systems such as GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, SBAS (i.e. EGNOS) and GNSS reference networks, GNSS vulnerabilities including detection and mitigation techniques and also several positioning methods such as RTK, INS-aided, SBAS-aided and other Hybrid positioning algorithms. I was involved in system requirements definition, proof of concept, system/subsystem design, innovative algorithms developing, statistical analysis and testing. Moreover, I drafted technical proposals for challenging projects within the Aerospace and Railway fields and I am author of 2 papers on international journals/transactions and proceedings of international conferences.I now play the role of Galileo PRS User Segment manager and I directly respond to TASI System Manager acting as Point of Contact toward GNSS Space Agency (GSA) and coordinating the PRS US engineering team.As test engineer I gained a deep experience (over 6 years) in testing and troubleshooting of consumer electronic devices as well as military (i.e jamming systems) and avionic system/subsystems (EFA T2 Program). I also worked on developing and upgrading Special To-Type Test Equipment (STTE) within the EFA T2 program. I reached a good knowledge of analogic, digital and RF electronics as well as SW development for industrial automation (LabVIEW and NI HW family products).I’m interested in international projects in the area of navigation system and/or aeronautical domain.Good knowledge of english language both written and spokenSpecialties: Matlab, LabVIEW, TestStand, C/C++
