Creation of Center convening programs with an emphasis on the Insights and Diplocraft series’ – to include generation of themes, design of effective and interactive formats, and securing thought-provoking and influential speakers and moderators. Fully prepare speakers, liaise with program partners, coordinate with Meridian External Affairs and logistics teams, draft talking points and detailed runs of show, and generate staffing plans in advance of program. Produce/support day-of implementation for Center for Diplomatic Engagement and wider External Affairs programs – to range from stage and virtual production to technical support on video cameras and other platforms and tools as needed, registration, notetaking and stakeholder management. Contribute to audience management - identify appropriate guests, create and disseminate invitations, track RSVPs, issue reminders and thank you letters. Expand Meridian’s Washington influencers and decision-makers relationships with an emphasis on foreign diplomats and government officials; cultivate Meridian’s network on Capitol Hill with Congressional staff members through regular informational meetings. Maintain and enrich Salesforce database with up-to-date contact and relationship details for all diplomatic engagement speakers, attendees, and connections. Conduct research and create convening program proposals for potential corporate and foundation partners. Compose short reports summarizing key points and main takeaways from convening programs and curate photo galleries for website and/or thought leadership purposes. Track and maintain budget for Center events.
