More than 35 years of experience in power transformer (diagnosis, operation & maintenance, testing), insulating materials (solid and liquid), chemical analysis, on-line sensors. Chairman of CT10 (fluids for electrotechnical applications) of the Italian Electrotechnical Committee (CEI). Member of many IEC TC10 working groups and convener of PT62975 (in-service natural esters). Full member in CIGRE SC-A2 (transformers) and SC-D1 (materials and emerging test techniques) and convener of JWG D1/A2.77 (liquid test on electrical equipment). Senior Member and Reviewing Author for Author of many scientific papers with focus on transformers diagnosis by DGA, on problems related with presence of Corrosive Sulphur in oil, on transformers’ Health Index, on Natural Insulating Esters, new optical sensors for on-line monitoring. Recipient of the “IEC Award 1906” in 2008, awarded as “CIGRE Distinguished Member” in 2012, winner of best paper prize in 2017 CIGRE Colloquium in Kiev
