ABOUT FABIO MENICHINI

I started early my working experience due to an unexpected call, for a boy from the Tuscan hills, coming from a big Indian multinational company: Motherson Sumi System. The wiring harness world was waiting for me, I worked there for 3 years thanks to my electrotecnical backgroud, supporting quality, prototyping and mainly customer desgn teams. These 3 years were very usefull for me thanks to the collaborations with big international company: Yamaha, Ducati, Komatsu, Same and last but not least Piaggio group. Due to the strong collaoration with Piaggio electric and electronics team, I had the opportunity to get hired in Piaggio as electrical designer with a cost reduction focus. After few years of experience I found the opportunity to leave my small village of few thousands peoples to go to Turin (the magic city), where FIAT was looking for young cost engineer with experience in wiring harnesses field. Thanks to the global unification of methodology I got in tuch with the international side of company, connecting weekly all the global cost engineering teams and define a common approach and vision; an amazing experience. But nothing was competing to the offer of Eng. Ascanelli that wanted to build a cost engineering team in the Brembo Advanced R&D epartment. The new role gave me the possibility to discover many new technology and deeply dive in the pure reserch and development process developing a completly new method and cost models for a disruptive cost engineering approach. A really exiting and dinamic position that I held for 4 years, I belive with honor. In the meanwhile I have been involved in the 4th industrial revolution, where Brembo wanted leave its footprint, with a Project Management Office committed to monitor and guide several global projects all connected to the digital transformation. Now I\'m starting I new adventure as CEO project office supporting the new boss leading Brembo in a new growing era.
