ABOUT FABIO KARANJA
I am Fabio Karanja a second-year civil engineering student at the University of Toronto. What led me to pursue this as my career was my passion for designing and buildings in general. This has led me to pursue different roles in internships in my earlier years such as in an Architectural firm in my home country, Kenya. And as of now, I have pursued multiple other activities in clubs and research undertaking leadership roles and broadening my sense in the field. My main interests in the field would be in construction management and structural engineering. In order to broaden my understanding in these areas I have pursued roles in my extracurriculars such as being an exec project manager in the Uoft Seismic design team. And pursuing research in structural analysis where I have been modelling technologies that will aid in developing 3D cracks in structures for analysis. During my studies, I have maintained a 3.8+ GPA through my dedication and drive, time management skills, and problem-solving skills. This has me be recognized for my academic achievements by being on the Deans honour list and attaining the NSERC award. If you may have any more questions feel free to reach out to me on f••••••••@mail.utoronto.ca
