ABOUT FABIAN STEPHANY

I\'m an Assistant Professor in AI & Work at the Oxford Internet Institute, University of Oxford, where I lead project that explores skills as a key lens to understand today’s shifting labour markets. I regularly speak on AI, skills, and technological change—and am available for talks, keynotes, and panel discussions. My research on the future of work, technological change, and digital labour has appeared in top academic journals and been featured by The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Financial Times, The Telegraph, Nikkei Asia, and others. Together with colleagues, I co-created the Online Labour Observatory—a data hub by the OII and International Labour Organization that supports researchers, policymakers, and the public in making sense of online platform work With a background in Economics and Social Sciences from institutions like Università Bocconi and the University of Cambridge, I’ve worked as an economist and senior data scientist in both the private sector and international organisations including UNDP, the World Bank, and the OECD.
