ABOUT FABIAN C. FIGUEROA
I’m a Computer Science student at UT San Antonio focused on systems, data, and machine learning. I care about clarity, correctness, and how technical decisions play out in the real world. I work steadily, ask the questions that matter, and keep things straightforward. I learn quickly, adapt well, and try to approach problems with patience and perspective.I’m currently in the Break Through Tech AI programme with Cornell. I recently completed a project with Planned Parenthood Federation of America evaluating and improving a reproductive health chatbot - work that has underscored how important it is for technical systems to behave responsibly when people rely on them.Since 2022, I’ve worked at Infinite Medical Claims LLC, improving medical claims workflows through data analytics and automation. It’s given me a grounded understanding of how technical and operational systems intersect, and how thoughtful engineering can make a real difference.I also completed the Global Career Accelerator web development programme, which strengthened my experience with practical web technologies and design. I enjoy building clean, functional interfaces and understanding how users interact with the systems behind them.I’m building towards software engineering or machine learning by strengthening fundamentals and applying them in real contexts. I’m drawn to work that has impact and to systems that make sense.
