ABOUT FABIAN BORMANN
I studied AI back when people still insisted on calling it machine learning or neuro- and bioinformatics. Since then, I have worked at research institutions in the medical field before switching to the automotive industry. Throughout that time, I was always working with data using various programming languages, ranging from big data systems to small Python scripts. My interest in technology has always been broad. From hardware-related development to frontend, I love the whole spectrum of programming and challenging tasks.Blockchain technology has been a hobby of mine since 2019, and I turned it into my day job by joining the Cardano Foundation in 2022. I love the idea of building architectures with embedded trust through document integrity and verifiable signatures on a public, permissionless infrastructure. Since 2023, I have the honor of leading a very strong team at the Cardano Foundation.In my spare time, I am a family person and a proud father of three boys. When the kids are in bed, I build the document verification platform UVerify. I have been working on this for a few hours every evening for the last two years, which unfortunately tells you more about my personality than I could keep writing.
