Full oversight of the company’s day to day accounting and internal and external reporting functions, driving process improvement and building a world class accounting department.Key responsibilities:• Develop a strong team focused on people development, accountabilities and driving for results.• Research, analysis and documentation of key accounting matters• Interface with many groups at all levels across the company• Develop, implement and revise accounting policies and processes• Work with external accounting firms on income tax preparation and compliance• Ensure financial reporting is produced timely and accurately, both internal and external.• Serve as the key interface with the external auditors for the annual audit for the company and for Homeowner Associations the Company provides back office support to.• Drive process changes and improvements to ensure efficiencies in overall accounting functions• Preparation and review of monthly financial statements and other financial information prior to review by the CFO and Senior Management• Work with direct reports (Controller and Managers) to ensure staff is managed and that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner• Provide training on accounting policies & procedures and internal controls to maintain appropriate safeguards• Regular interaction with senior executives and other managers
