I’ve been working as a SQL Server DBA for over 7 years, keeping production systems in healthcare, energy, and banking running smoothly — basically making sure the databases don’t have a meltdown while everyone else sleeps. My days are all about keeping performance solid, systems highly available, and recoverable when things inevitably go sideways.I spend a lot of time tuning queries, managing indexes, and setting up HA/DR solutions like Always On Availability Groups, replication, and log shipping. I’ve also done cloud migrations to Azure SQL, automated tasks with PowerShell, and helped integrate reporting and BI tools — basically convincing servers to behave themselves.I enjoy working closely with developers, infrastructure, and security teams, mentoring junior DBAs, and making sure our SQL Server environment stays stable, secure, and ready to handle whatever the business throws at it.
