ABOUT EYLEM THRON
Principal Human Factors Consultant at Mima, with 15+ years’ experience applying human factors and human-centred design to complex socio-technical systems across rail, defence and other safety-critical industries. I work across design, assurance and operational change to help organisations improve safety, usability, accessibility and operational resilience in practice. My interests lie at the intersection of human and organisational factors, emerging technologies, safety and security. Alongside core human factors practice, I explore the human dimensions of cybersecurity and digital resilience, examining how human behaviour, system design and organisational context shape secure and resilient operations.I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics & Human Factors (C.ErgHF, FCIEHF), a qualified engineer (IET) and an accredited project manager (APM).I hold a Doctorate in Engineering, an MSc in Human Factors & Ergonomics, and a BEng in Computer Systems Engineering. Alongside consultancy, I contribute to research, publications and professional practice development, including in my role as Visiting Fellow at Bournemouth University.
