ABOUT EWELL LAWSON

As the Program Director of the FRI Institute at the University of Missouri, I facilitate and guide initiatives focused on energy and utility policy, leveraging my experiences and background in the utility industry, management, and government. We seek to inform utility policy and regulation with sound research, impactful education, and engaged collaboration. My journey, as a trusted advisor for some of our state\'s top elected leaders and serving on the executive team of a major utility, has provided me with invaluable insights into the complexities of the energy/utility sector and the critical impact government regulation can have on the delivery of essential utility services. My passion lies in empowering leaders, both through the Institute or in private consultation, to achieve their full potential. This has fueled my work as a trusted advisor and as a leadership coach, having guided individuals, institutions, and businesses through some of their toughest challenges. With Fair Street Strategies, I now privately lend my expertise in business consultation, policy analysis, strategic guidance, vision management, collaborative facilitation, and peer group development.Family is a central part of my life. My wife, Dr. Shari Lawson, is an educational leadership professor and a retired elementary educator. We share a deep faith and enjoy meals, discussions on current events, and travel. I am also an avid college sports fan.If you are an energy or utility leader, government affairs professional, or business owner looking to improve your leadership, create meaningful change, or find collaborative support, I encourage you to connect with me. Let’s explore how we can work together to achieve your goals and create a meaningful impact on your future.
