Guardian of the public realm for the Elephant Park urban regeneration project in Elephant & Castle, London and International Quarter London, Stratford. The role includes setting the design brief for parks, streets and open spaces, management of design teams and working closely with our stakeholders including local communities, the Lendlease business, our investors and local authority partners. To date we\'ve completed around 75% of the public realm at Elephant Park and having taken a people and nature first approach to the landscape design are now seeing really positive results with people actively seeking out the park, Elephant Springs and now The Tree House.

ABOUT EWAN OLIVER
Public Realm Development Manager and Chartered landscape architect with 25 years industry experience, Ewan has been a business owner, freelance designer, local authority landscape architect, senior landscape architect and now works as a development manager for Lendlease, managing the design of high quality public realm on urban regeneration projects. Ewan has extensive experience in the design and delivery of large scale infrastructure and urban regeneration projects such as the London 2012 Olympic Park and Thames Tideway Tunnels. “Of particular interest to me is the direct application of green infrastructure principles at all stages of design from strategic masterplan level down to the detailed design of the public realm. The GI approach has the power to cost effectively deliver a myriad of eco-system services including increased biodiversity, storm water management and microclimate regulation as well as bring communities closer by creating much needed connections that offer a healthier alternative to traffic congested roads\'\'.
