Ewa is a key member of the executive and oversees the operations of ICLEI’s activities in Canada as well as contributing to international programs and activities. She is responsible for all programs, staff, and operational activities. • Lead role in influencing the development and implementation of resilience and adaptation activities using a systems-wide approach with Canadian municipalities.• Co-lead fundraising and efforts to maintain long-term fiscal sustainability for ICLEI Canada - with an annual budget of over $1 million.• Identify strategic financial opportunities for sustainable and stable long-term funding. • Responsible for developing, managing, delivering, and reporting on complex multi-year projects • Support to the 20+ cities in the Building Adaptive and Resilient Cities program – enabling Council support, facilitating cross-departmental collaboration, development of implementation strategies, and establishing measurement and review frameworks.• Design and deliver engagement strategies, using varied facilitation techniques and communications styles.• Responsible for maintaining and developing cross-sectoral and interdisciplinary partnerships with local government and industry leaders.• Project management over ICLEI Canada’s consulting activities in resilience planning, biodiversity, municipal and community GHG Inventories, and climate change adaptation.• Responsible for program and project evaluation and establishment of key performance indicators.• Inspire and lead innovative program and project delivery among senior, mid, and junior level staff.• Improve, streamline, and deliver annual strategic and operational work planning processes.• Regular speaker and/or facilitator across Canada and internationally. • Convener of key stakeholders at events – such as the Livable Cities Forum which brings together 200-300 the local government, private and non-profit sector to discuss building more resilient and livable communities.
