With over 20 years of experience in the architecture, engineering, construction, and operations (AECO) industry, I specialize in integrating building information modeling (BIM), geographic information systems (GIS), artificial intelligence (AI), and data science to address complex challenges in urban planning, smart cities, and sustainable design.As Director of Innovation & Research at the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), I lead transformative research initiatives focused on urban resilience, decarbonization, and AI-driven strategies for a more sustainable built environment. I explore how emerging technologies can enhance efficiency, optimize decision-making, and create scalable, high-impact sustainability solutions. My work actively champions AI adoption, digital twins, and advanced data analytics to drive positive environmental and societal outcomes—including energy efficiency, health and well-being, resilience, and equity.My expertise spans BIM-GIS integration for facility management, multi-objective optimization in design processes, energy simulation for sustainable design, and smart city technology frameworks. I’ve had the opportunity to share insights at international conferences, peer-reviewed publications, and guest lectures at institutions like the University of Southern California and National Taiwan University.Prior to USGBC, I held leadership roles in LEED consulting, BIM consulting, research and development, EAM strategy, and digital transformation, where I helped organizations implement AI-enabled solutions and data-driven sustainability strategies.
