ABOUT ANDY EVERETT
A strategic media leader highly experienced in shaping some of the UK’s most successful commercial radio brands. I specialise in leading high-performing teams, driving major brand transformations and delivering long-term content and commercial strategies across radio, podcasting and video. As Managing Editor of Heart, I led the brand through a period of exceptional growth. Launching what is now the UK’s number one commercial Breakfast Show with Jamie Theakston & Amanda Holden, taking Heart to number one in London, introducing a suite of national brand extensions and creating world-class promotions, including Heart’s Make Me a Millionaire. During this time, I was proud to help grow the brand past a landmark 10 million+ weekly listeners for the first time, making Heart the number 1 commercial radio brand in the UK. After relocating to my native Scotland, I led the relaunch of Heart and Capital, bucking the industry trend by investing in increased regional programming as Global’s Managing Editor for Scotland. In 2025, I expanded my remit to include responsibility for Global’s output in Wales, delivering the business’s Nations Strategy, with a focus on building regional broadcasting and content studio hubs equipped for video-first podcasting and multi-platform output. As a member of Global’s Broadcasting & Content senior leadership team, I\'m at the forefront of the company’s industry-leading video-first podcast and digital content strategy, aligning creative ambition with commercial outcomes to drive growth, engagement and innovation.
