With an educational background in finance and computer science, I owned and operated Eveready Alarms & Communications from 1977 until I sold it to Laurens Electric Co-Op in and semi-retired as a consultant. As a consulting systems analyst, I still maintain and design security, access control, and video surveillance systems, as well as computer networks. My firm, Marketing Development Association, acts as the \"IT Department\" for firms that don\'t require a full-time staff member to support and maintain their hardware and software systems. My clients include accounting firms, textile and other manufacturing plants, and a transportation company that utilizes our custom written software to track shipments and interface billing into their accounting software.
