About Evelyn Wande Balele
I am a junior at St. Lawrence University, double majoring in Economics and Environmental Studies, where my academic journey reflects my passion for the intersection of policy, business, and technology and sustainable development. Studying at United World Colleges (UWC) East Africa to now pursuing my undergraduate degree in the U.S. has allowed me to develop a strong cross-cultural awareness and the ability to navigate diverse academic and professional environments.I am especially interested in how data-driven solutions and market-based mechanisms can address global environmental challenges. My experiences span finance, research, and digital innovation.Technically, I bring skills in Python, R, Java, basics of SQL, HTML, and CSS, complemented by advanced Excel and data visualization expertise. My projects range from building educational and environmental apps to developing analytical models, reflecting my ability to merge creativity with problem-solving.As President of Women in Economics and a Residential Assistant, I have strengthened my leadership, collaboration, and mentorship abilities. I am passionate about working in well-paced, collaborative environments that combine strategy, innovation, and social impact.
