About Eve Jadari Deleon
Eve is a first-generation college graduate with a background in youth development, higher education, and education and child development research. Prior to joining La Vida Scholars as Alumni Engagement Specialist, Eve served as an Administrative Assistant in the Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement at Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine, where they supported the Community Service Learning (CSL) program. In this role, they contributed to initiatives that partner with medically underserved communities through service, mentorship, and reflective learning, while also supporting program coordination, communications, and community engagement efforts.Eve’s work is rooted in service, social justice, and community-centered change. They are passionate about creating supportive and inclusive environments where individuals from diverse backgrounds, particularly first-generation students, immigrant communities, and refugee youth, can thrive. Their experience spans mentorship, outreach, research, and program support, with a strong emphasis on building meaningful relationships and connecting individuals to resources and opportunities.Beyond their professional work, Eve is a dedicated community member who has partnered with a range of organizations and programs across New England, including the Living in Two Worlds program, Yleana Leadership Academy, Upper Valley Land Trust, and The LISTEN Community Services. Through these experiences, they have supported youth mentorship, educational programming, environmental stewardship, and community-based initiatives.Eve is also a storyteller, artist, and environmental advocate. Their creative work is grounded in decolonial practices and explores themes of identity, belonging, and home, with a focus on their Indigenous heritage. They view art as a tool for expression, healing, and social change, and integrate these values into both their personal and professional life.
