As the fifth-largest accounting and advisory network in the world, BDO offers an exciting new canvas for me to blend editorial instincts with social strategy by growing brand visibility, deepening engagement, and driving business impact in the consulting space.Previously, I was Social Media Community Manager at Fidelity Canada, where I oversaw LinkedIn, Instagram, Reddit, YouTube, and Facebook for nearly four years. By focusing on authentic voice and standout content, I helped drive 40% year-over-year growth in organic engagement and followers. I also launched and led Fidelity’s employee advocacy program using Hootsuite Amplify.My journey with Fidelity began in Hong Kong, where I was Senior Multimedia Producer at Fidelity International, creating editorial video content on investing, ESG, and economic trends across Asia. From Shanghai to Tokyo to second-tier cities in China, I explored topics ranging from millennial retirement habits to the evolution of traditional wet markets. In 2019, I earned the CFA Institute Investment Foundations certification to strengthen my financial acumen.I started my career in journalism—first at CNN International, then spending five years as a video journalist at The Wall Street Journal. I reported across Hong Kong, Toronto, Tokyo, Manila, Bangalore, and Taipei, with highlights including coverage of Occupy Hong Kong, Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte’s war on drugs, and the disappearance of MH370.Teaching has also been a meaningful part of my path. I spent five years as an honorary lecturer at the University of Hong Kong, teaching Video News Production to Master of Journalism students. I was proud to be the program’s first female TA in the video stream before being promoted to lecturer.I thrive on creativity, adaptability, and cross-cultural storytelling, and I’m always looking ahead to the next challenge in our ever-evolving digital world.
