About Evan Baker
With 20 years in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry, I’ve built a career rooted in technical expertise, leadership, and strategic growth. Prior to joining SSOE, my journey began with a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toledo where I learned that I had a passion for building safety and security. This passion evolved into a specialization in Data / Fire / Security systems, where I now lead SSOE’s Dara/Fire/Security systems Practice Group.Our team spans seven states and Mexico, delivering integrated, code-compliant solutions that harmonize technology and security with architectural intent. We work across all design disciplines to create smarter, safer facilities for clients in manufacturing, data centers, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, higher education, and beyond. Since tracking began, our group has helped clients realize millions in project savings—an achievement that reflects our commitment to innovation and value.Beyond technical leadership, I’ve taken an active role in expanding SSOE’s presence in Central Ohio. From strengthening business development efforts to guiding our Columbus office’s relocation and growth, I’m proud to support Ohio’s growth and transformation.
