About Evan R.
I’m an independent radio producer, reporter and editor. Previously, I worked at The New York Times producing audio for the NYT Audio App and reported for NPR member station KALW in San Francisco. I have also taught undergrad screenwriting, radio documentary to LGBT teens and photography to Palestinian refugees in the West Bank. I’m interested in character-driven stories that surprise, elate and inform. Audio and video production has taken me to South Africa to interview queer refugees, skydiving with Marines in Texas, and search for the soul of a famous musician in an LA storage unit. My audio and video work have appeared in various outlets, including Slamdance, SXSW, PBS and The New York Times.
