About Evan Wykoff

I began my passion for software and technology at a young age. My father was a consultant for Oracle so he would always show me what he was doing. We tried to have the latest and greatest in technology at our house. As a boy, I always knew I wanted to get into technology.I went to college at East Carolina University and graduated with a degree in Hotel Management. At this point in my life, technology was just a second thought. However, fate tends to lead you in the direction you are meant to go.I started my professional career in the hotel industry. After many long nights, staring at the computer on my desk I began to wonder if this was for me. I applied at Citrix for the entry-level role of sales development representative. I quickly knew that this was meant for me. Thanks to all my support in that role, I was able to accelerate and achieve quickly. I was promoted early from the SDR role into a closing role. I was able to shatter my goals by focusing on my process and always trying to make tweaks to improve it. I moved into management after closing for over a year and won the most engaged manager within my first year.Management has taught me to really listen to all ideas and embrace change. I love being a coach/mentor and seeing professionals grow and develop. That is the reason why I chose to move into the management role.
