I have over 10 years of experience leading (both as a manager and technical lead) software teams to deliver cutting-edge user experiences for consumer electronic products. I enjoy researching and developing new modes of human/computer interaction and form factors. At HP I developed improved touch and trackpad experiences for Windows laptops, and contributed to the launch of a new projective form factor (HP Sprout). At Olio I led a team to customize Android (AOSP) to run on one of the first smartwatches with a round display. At Google I led the development of the local search experience for Google Assistant Driving Mode, a multi-modal experience optimized for hands-free interaction with your phone while driving. I\'m currently one of the tech leads for Google\'s Fitbit experience on Wear.

Fitbit on Wear OS: A Tech Lead on the Fitbit on Wear OS application. Formed and led the infrastructure team, which sets the foundations of the overall application architecture, improves system health, and sets coding best practices for the team of 30+ engineers. Fitbit on Wear powers the health and fitness on the Pixel Watches. I was involved in the launch of all generations of Pixel Watches, including owning the Fitbit login and sync experience on the watch.Google Assistant on Android Auto/Driving Mode: Technical Lead of the project to optimize the Google Assistant Local Search experience for Driving Mode. Driving Mode was a product that takes over your Android phone experience to provide a set of UI and voice controls that are optimized for driving. The Local Search experience provided a multi-modal UI (visual cards and voice cues) to find and navigate to nearby places. This was a server-driven UI, and I led a team of 3 engineers to build the server and mobile components of the experience.
