About Evan Wilkins
I currently work at WKRG-TV (CBS affiliate) in Mobile, Alabama and have been for almost 15 years now. I started out as an Associate Producer (video editor) but was promoted to News Producer in July of 2017. However, due to being short-staffed and to recent adjustments being made on the overnight shift, I now am working both my old job and new job. I\'m primarily video editing during the week, then both producing and editing, as well as running the teleprompter for the hour-long morning shows on the weekends (one hour on Saturday and back-to-back hours on Sunday). So I\'m pulling double duty multiple days out of the week, every week. Additional duties/skills I have are running the teleprompter, monitoring the scanner and news wires for breaking news, and posting news stories on our website and social media pages.
