I lead Wyoming’s Drug Evaluation and Classification Program (DECP), providing statewide oversight of impaired driving enforcement training and certification. This role includes managing the network of Drug Recognition Experts (DREs), certified SFST and DRE instructors, and implementing advanced training programs for law enforcement personnel across Wyoming.Key Responsibilities & Impact:Direct statewide coordination of the DECP to strengthen impaired driving enforcement and officer readiness.Oversee the certification, training, and continued education of Wyoming’s DREs and instructors.Implement and manage advanced impaired driving courses tailored for law enforcement agencies statewide.Administer and track nearly in federal pass-through grants from the Wyoming Department of Transportation to fund and sustain impaired driving initiatives.Serve on the Governor’s Council on Impaired Driving, contributing subject matter expertise and supporting statewide policy and strategy development.Collaborate with local, state, and federal partners to advance traffic safety and reduce impaired driving incidents.This role allows me to combine program management, grant administration, and training expertise to improve roadway safety and support law enforcement professionals throughout Wyoming.
