Hi, my name is Evan, I am a Venable Scholar in my senior year at Hampden-Sydney College, pursuing a B.S. in Philosophy, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and an incoming MD Candidate at Eastern Virginia Medical School. I currently conduct research on humic substances in Dr. Ava Kreider-Mueller\'s Lab, exploring the biochemical properties of complex organic compounds. I have spent two summers at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville conducting clinical research in Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and hypermobility.Beyond the sciences, I am primarily interested in ethics and moral philosophy.Outside of the classroom, I passionate about competitive debate and spend much of my free time debating with friends at the Union-Philanthropic Literary Society.
