ABOUT EVAN GERSTEIN

I currently serve as a college admission consultant at Get Me Into College, Inc. In this role, I am responsible for providing clients with insight, advice, and strict schedules as they navigate the application process. I must also be knowledgeable and experienced in every step of the process: building a college list; managing financial aid and scholarships; writing and revising essays; completing the Common App; filling out general applications; securing letters of recommendation, designing resumes; preparing for interviews; building networks and making connections. Finally, I accurately assess and find the college that best fits each student based on academic, social, and financial factors. My former experience:As the Associate Director of Student Recruitment for Kelley Graduate Accounting Programs at Indiana University\'s Kelley School of Business, I led the development, design, and execution of our comprehensive student recruitment strategy for the 3/2 MBA and MS in Accounting with Data and Analytics programs. In this role, I had the unique opportunity to engage with prospective students, conduct applicant interviews, and play a pivotal role in admission recommendations and decisions.Prior to this, I gained valuable experience as a Graduate Student Worker at Vanderbilt University, where I contributed to the application review process for incoming first-year students in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Additionally, I completed a practicum as a Student Accountability Intern, further expanding my understanding of higher education administration. My journey in higher education began as an Admissions Counselor at the University of Michigan, where I actively participated in high school recruitment, admissions policy interpretation, and application evaluation. I also organized and represented the University at various events, including college fairs and high school visits. This experience honed my skills in admissions and public service. Before entering the field of higher education, I served as a Dean\'s Fellow in the Central Dean\'s Office for the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts at the University of Michigan. This one-year fellowship provided me with invaluable insights into university administration, helping me shape my career path in higher education.Through these experiences, I\'ve developed a deep passion for student recruitment, admissions, and higher education administration. I look forward to continuing to make a positive impact in this field and contributing to the success of both students and institutions.
