SeniorLAW Center's mission is to improve the lives of older Pennsylvanians and protect their rights through legal representation, education and advocacy. We help save homes, strengthen families, fight domestic violence and abuse, and promote economic security. All of SeniorLAW Center’s services for low-income seniors are free. SeniorLAW Center serves over 7,000 seniors each year throughout Philadelphia and, through its statewide SeniorLAW HelpLine, the entire Commonwealth. SeniorLAW Center has established a multitude of innovative programs to address the critical legal needs of low-income and vulnerable seniors, including victims of domestic violence, older tenants and homeowners, victims of financial exploitation and consumer fraud, grandparents raising grandchildren, the homebound and disabled, Asian, Latino and other immigrant elders who have little access to our system of justice. The legal issues facing our clients are increasingly complex and critical: mortgage foreclosure, eviction, and consumer and contractor fraud, shocking forms of financial exploitation, lengthy family law litigation, untangling title issues over generations, domestic violence and sexual assault against older women, health and financial decision-making, identity theft and other economic crimes.
