About Evan Adams
Evan has been in and around education since 2015. His experience as part of a foster care host family, along with his involvement in service experiences through college, spurred his interest in equity-minded work as he approached graduation at the University of Kentucky. Evan launched his career post-college as a Corps Member with Teach For America, teaching high school math in Whitesburg, KY. There, he worked alongside students and community members to battle resource disparity, promote and create educational opportunities related to building Higher Education awareness, and advocate for students in the Appalachia Region. Evan finished his two-year commitment with a degree from Johns Hopkins School of Education and joined staff for Teach For America where he worked in recruiting more teachers to low-income communities.Now, Evan works for BusinessU, a digital business curriculum that delivers standards-aligned, turn-key courses in Business, Accounting, Finance, Econ, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, and Management. Business\'s mission is to serve business teachers to help inspire the next generation of businesspeople. BU is a standards-based, interactive curriculum platform with full-year courses including Marketing, Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Intro to Business, Economics, Management, Finance, and MS Office Cert Prep Courses. Each lesson provides video content presented from a group of young, diverse entrepreneurs, and various formative and summative (auto-graded) assessments, individual and collaborative activities and projects, ethical challenges, bellringers, discussions, & exams. BU is also fully integrated with Google Classroom, Canvas, Schoology, and MS Teams.
