As a Wellbeing Practitioner at Northamptonshire Carers’ Breathing Space Project, I focus on supporting the mental and emotional wellbeing of individuals that suffer from COPD or other respiratory diseases. This position involves providing tailored guidance, facilitating support groups, and sharing resources that promote self-care and resilience. In this role, I enhanced my ability to plan and execute outreach events effectively while connecting with stakeholders and engaging the community. I developed strong skills in fostering partnerships and negotiating agreements that benefit the project. My sensitivity to the needs of the community enabled me to provide supportive guidance. I also collaborated with local organisations to improve support services, promoted wellbeing initiatives to raise community awareness, and coordinated resources to ensure successful event delivery, tracking progress and evaluating outcomes to inform future initiatives.

With a career spanning sales, marketing, merchandising, business operations, and education, I am now channelling my diverse experience into the field of HR. I am particularly passionate about wellbeing, employee engagement, and creating inclusive workplaces. As a Wellbeing Practitioner, I collaborate with individuals and organisations to develop holistic wellbeing strategies, raise awareness of existing health inequalities, and promote understanding and empathy. My goal is to create spaces where people feel comfortable expressing their experiences and concerns while ensuring they have the resources needed to succeed. I also work closely with various organisations and stakeholders, building networks and partnerships that provide valuable opportunities for both professional and personal growth. Diversity and inclusion are central to my approach, as I strongly believe they are key to unlocking individual and team potential. In addition to my wellbeing role, I serve as the Communications Lead for my local CIPD branch, where I connect HR professionals, share industry insights, create content, and contribute to the monthly newsletter. I am also committed to strengthening the relationship between students and HR professionals, fostering meaningful connections within the industry. To support my transition into HR, I am currently in my second year of a Human Resources degree, complementing my hands-on experience with a strong academic foundation. My commercial background enables me to align people\'s strategies with business objectives while advocating for inclusive, people-focused workplaces that empower individuals to thrive. I am excited to continue this journey, collaborating with professionals and organisations that prioritise their people as a key driver of success.
