My husband and I used Positive Discipline in raising our two sons, ages 28 and 26, and we still find many opportunities to use PD tools as the parents of adult children! My 32 years as a public school teacher and counselor reinforced almost daily the need for parents, teachers, and children to have access to the skills that Positive Discipline teaches! I have facilitated Positive Discipline parenting classes since 2008 and continue to teach parenting classes in the Phoenix Valley, as well as online through Zoom. I certified as a Trainer in 2018. I work with teachers in implementing the trauma-informed, social-emotional learning curricula Positive Discipline in the Classroom and Positive Discipline for Early Childhood Educators. The activities in these programs help teachers create a sense of belonging and significance for children in the classroom and school, as they work together to build communities bases on mutual respect and cooperation.
