I am a Polish-speaking Master\'s level Social Worker with 14 years of field experience, specializing in work with older adults and adults with disabilities. I have 5 years of experience supervising volunteers, student interns, and staff. In my role as Associate Director of Aging Services at Howard Brown Health, I supervise comprehensive case management and care coordination provided as part of an interdisciplinary care team alongside our geriatrics specialists, as well as community outreach and support groups focused on serving the LGBTQ older adult population. I facilitate Rising Phoenix, a support group for long-term survivors of HIV; Transcendence, a support group for trans* older adults; and The Journey Continues, a therapeutic process group for older LGBTQ adults. I have been appointed to the Illinois Commission on LGBTQ Aging by Governor Pritzker and am proud to use my professional experience to help advocate for the needs of our growing LGBTQ older adult community.
