Restorative Justice Coordinator works with District leadership to create and implement a concrete, skills-based curriculum that creates positive change in students. In focusing on a less punitive discipline system, our hope is to influence school climate and strengthen positive social connections between students and staff.Teach, practice, and provide feedback on positive social skillsReinforce the culture of the classroom/school to ensure that all students realize what is expected of them and what they can expect from the staff.Work with classroom teachers needing additional support.Participate in district professional development to deepen understanding of effective restorative justice practices.Establish positive support systems for students. Facilitate and co-facilitate restorative conversations, peacemaking circles, talking circles among students and staff. Created a referral based program for teachers to refer students that they felt would benefit from restorative approaches. Established best practices and expectations of all parties who participate in restorative justice.
